Vascular Ultrasound

Vascular ultrasound is a specialized ultrasound examination used to evaluate blood flow within the arteries and veins throughout the body. Using sound wave technology and Doppler imaging, this test helps assess circulation and detect conditions such as blood clots, narrowed or blocked arteries, varicose veins, aneurysms, and other vascular concerns. We perform a wide range of vascular studies including upper and lower extremity venous and arterial ultrasounds, examinations to rule out deep vein thrombosis (DVT), venous insufficiency studies, carotid artery ultrasounds, ankle brachial index (ABI) testing, and thoracic outlet assessments evaluating the subclavian artery and vein. Vascular ultrasound is non-invasive, does not use radiation, and is performed by a specially trained technologist using a transducer and water-based gel to capture detailed images and blood flow measurements for interpretation by a radiologist or healthcare provider.
